dclock with transparent background
There are a number of digital clocks on the market, but none are as simple and sleek as dclock. However, the only downside is that in stock form, there’s no way to make the background transparent. After some searching, it looks like someone on XDA gone ahead and done everyone a huge favor.

How do I download this straight to my Droid X I tried both ways and it wont work? Do I have to just download to my computer then my X?
Download it to your X. Then use a file manager like Astro from the market and open the download .apk. It’ll prompt you to install it. Then just load up the widget by long pressing on your home screen and selecting dclock.
